Landkreis St. Wendel is a district in the northeastern part of the Saarland state in Germany. It is bordered by the districts of Merzig-Wadern, Neunkirchen, and Saarpfalz-Kreis as well as the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The region is known for its picturesque landscapes, including parts of the Hunsrück hills and the Bostalsee lake. The district's capital is the town of St. Wendel, named after the local saint, Wendelin of Trier. It offers a mix of historical sites and outdoor activities.
